Former Olympic Lyon star Miralem Pjanic has struggled to settle into the first team at AS Roma since his move to Italy back in August of 2011. According to TalkSport on Oct. 25, 2012 it appears that Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is setting up a potential bid for the player in January.
An escape to Spurs could be a blessing for the 22-year-old midfielder who had been labeled before his move to Roma as the next Luka Modric. Perhaps a move to the North London side could induce that belief once more since the original departed for Real Madrid over the summer.

The move could be the best way to get the young Bosnian back on the right track and out of the slump his form has fallen to over the past 14 months in the eternal city. Despite the dip in form, Roma appear to have full faith that his price value has not diminished as Tottenham are expect to have to shell out at least £15 million for the player if they indeed come to call in January.
So far this campaign he has been on point for his national team with two goals and four assists for Bosnia & Herzegovina in their World Cup qualification quest, but he has only made three unimpressive appearances for Roma.
The more time ticks by the more likely a move will become the best option for the player, and the growing force of Tottenham will hope that Pjanic could be another addition for a stronger future at White Hart Lane.
